The positive stories are equally sensational and intense on the other side of the spectrum, renewing our faith in humanity.
This world would have long been forsaken
Had it not been for women and children.
Women and Children have greatly impacted me, helping me retain my sanity in this maddening society.
Every time a child or baby comes to me, smiles, or hugs me, I feel like God is talking to me.
I remember when I was going through the dark tunnel, my Maa (mother) would take me to Gurudwaras (Sikh places of worship) and while she prayed inside, I’d stand outside hoping a child would come to me to relieve my suffering.
And what to say of women!
Aside from my mother and partner, many intelligent women have enriched my life.
Leo Tolstoy said something like this:
“Nothing is so necessary for a young man as the company of intelligent women.”
In some parts of the world, wars and upheavals and all that are happening-:
When we encounter news of violence, bloodshed, and hatred, we tend to tilt towards a pessimistic viewpoint.
But it is the norm, as at any given time, the world typically experiences around 3 to 5 major wars, defined as conflicts resulting in more than 1,000 battle-related deaths per year.
Then there are news like these -:
- 3-year-old singer singing with a 13-year-old violin prodigy.
- An autistic child playing his song "Being Different is Okay" live with Coldplay in front of thousands.
- A Palestinian singer singing "We Pray" with Coldplay.
- All-women rock band performing live music and enjoying themselves.
and so many other heartwarming stories around the world happening everyday.
These are equally sensational and intense on the other side of the spectrum, renewing our faith in humanity. Indeed, it is through the voices and actions of the vulnerable and the pure that we find strength.
Helping us feel that the world can still keep on existing for a few more years. Indeed, it is through the voices of the vulnerable and the pure, we find strength, and with every harmonious moment, we’re reminded that love can triumph over adversity.
