Welcome To My New (Web) Home

After testing the waters for three months on different platforms, I became sure of myself that this writing mania is not fleeting or transient, I have really caught the bug and I am not afraid to speak my mind and express my heart anymore.

After living (read-> writing) on rent for the last three months in someone else's home (read -> blogging platforms) where I could be kicked out (read-> account blocked, suspended) for any reason without any notice period, I thought it's wise to invest in my own home with my hard-earned money.

I first started pouring out my heart's musings in front of readers on Medium, a subscription-based blogging platform. This was my first post:

My tryst with writing
I was always fond of writing, well I still am. I remember asking my parents to gift me diaries on my birthdays or buying them as souvenirs…

Then I made an account on Scrollstack, an Indian alternative. This was my second post on Scrollstack:

Waking Up Early in the Mountains

Then, I started my weekly newsletter "Know Yourself Better" on Substack, an email newsletter publishing platform. This was my first weekly newsletter:

My First Weekly Newsletter!
Let’s make an attempt to know ourselves better

After testing the waters for three months on different platforms, I became sure of myself that this writing mania is not fleeting or transient, I have really caught the bug and I am not afraid to speak my mind and express my heart anymore (even if it offends someone, though it is not intentional). So, I finally decided after much dilly-dallying to buy a new home for my thoughts, feelings, and emotions. For this, I first registered my home (buying the domain loveunites.in), and then I purchased the land to build my home on (purchased subscription of Ghost platform to host my domain).

Today is the 3rd of August, 2021, and I have purchased a one-year subscription to this platform; so I am giving myself one year to write my heart out and on 2nd August, 2022, I will assess if my words are able to help, inspire, touch a soul in a positive way or kindle a spark of joy in someone's life then I will term my 1-year stint as successful and fulfilling, and hence will continue further.
