(09/01/22) Quorics of the day
There have been such great, jaw-dropping songs written both in English and Hindi that you can not express or convey how they made you feel.
It's been long since the last time we read each other, I know. I was wondering why do people write, or why do I write? I mean if I am happy and content living life then why is there any need to write.
Anyway, I am back but God knows why. Maybe because a friend of mine texted me asking Why am I not sharing Quorics of the day anymore. So, here it is:
When you try Your Best but You Don't Succeed
This is a very special song by my favorite band of all time, Coldplay called Fix You. Chris Martin, the frontman is exhorting that if nothing is going right, if everywhere you turn you find despair, then don't worry because Lights (from beyond) will guide you Home.
I had a Dream, I got Everything I Wanted
I am a late entrant to Billee Eilish music. She is already a massive celebrity at 20!
She is the youngest person to win all four top awards at the Grammys in one year. At the 2020 Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish made history as only the second artist and the youngest in history to win the top four awards: Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year.
This song "Everthing I Wanted" hit me due to its provocative lyrics. After all, she just doesn't churn out makeup and breakup songs.
God Grant me the Serenity to Accept the Things I Cannot Change
This is actually The Serenity Prayer written by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr but used in many places.
I heard it first in a song called Feel So Different by Sinead O'Connor. I have already written an ode to this song and I can still go on and on and heap praises but I guess you get my point, right?
This prayer seems like it's been there inside me all this while in some inexpressible form and now I find out that someone had already given words to express it.
That's it from this edition. If you liked it, consider joining. It will always be free!
